Kate Moroney is a wardrobe and prop stylist based in Minneapolis and New York City working extensively in eCommerce, catalog, television, and editorial photo shoots.
Originally moving from Minneapolis to NYC to earn her degree in Fashion Design at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Kate spent her early twenties as an apprentice at design houses such as Marchesa and Donna Karen and working behind the scenes at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week for designers including Vera Wang, Max Mara and Alexandre Herchcovitch. That experience, along with her earlier B.S. degree in Retail Merchandising from the University of MN, then led to her early career as a buyer; giving her a unique perspective of the business side of the fashion industry and what it takes to make a brand succeed.
That early work in design houses and buying then led Kate into work as a stylist, eventually freelancing for Saks Fifth Avenue's in house photography studio, and soon becoming a full time employee involved in the production of all photography content for Saks.com
Throughout Kate's career in styling, primarily in NYC and Minneapolis, she has contributed to projects for nationally recognized clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Levi's, Lucky Magazine, Vogue Italia and Interview Magazine, among others. Along with her styling work, Kate has been a long time contributor for the trend forecasting agency, WGSN.
